About the Opportunity 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Safety Programs Lead to join our People & Culture team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and initiatives across SA Power Networks and Enerven. You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to enhance our safety systems and promote a culture where safety is an integral part of everyday operations. 

Early engagement with the business and P&C is crucial for selecting safety programs that provide significant benefits to the organisation through data-driven insights. You will design, develop, and lead safety improvement programs that support the Safety Plan or respond to business, legislative, or regulatory changes, collaborating with relevant teams to create targeted initiatives. Additionally, you will manage these programs, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and compliance requirements while driving continuous improvement through data analysis. By utilising data from injury management and other sources, you will inform decision-making and ensure that the programs demonstrate tangible outcomes that support SAPN’s strategic objectives. 

What You Bring 
To be successful in this role, you should hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Safety or a related field, along with the equivalent skills and knowledge gained through experience. Strong knowledge of contemporary safety management practices and incident management is essential, along with advanced leadership skills that enable you to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Expertise in WHS, RTW legislation, and relevant international standards is required, as well as proficiency in project management and analytical problem-solving. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, are fundamental for this position.
