The Western Australian Government has announced the finalists for the Work Safety Western Australia 2012 Awards.

State Commerce Minister, Simon O’Brien, congratulated the wide range of finalists.

“Finalists in the Work Safety Awards come from a wide range of industries:  from health services and engineering, construction and electrical companies to government agencies,” Mr O’Brien said.

“They also cover metropolitan and regional areas, with finalists operating in all areas of WA.

“The number of high-quality entries submitted for this year’s awards illustrates the level of commitment to workplace safety that exists in WA and the number of companies and individuals coming up with innovative solutions to safety issues.

The four winners will be entered into the national Safe Work Australia Awards with the opportunity to gain national recognition for their achievements.

“I heartily congratulate the finalists, along with everyone else who nominated for the awards, and encourage businesses of all sizes to nominate for the 2013 Work Safety Awards Western Australia,” the Minister said.
