Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has announced a series of free workshops aimed at helping the state’s business operators better manage workplace safety.

The two hour workshops will cover the following topics:

  • Basic safety management system
  • Risk management
  • Safe work procedures
  • Safe work method statements (for high risk construction work)
  • Basic risk management for manual tasks
  • Incident and emergency response
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Monitor and review

The workshops will be specifically designed to help small to medium businesses that have limited or no current health and safety process in place. They will be suitable for business owners, managers and supervisors with health and safety responsibilities in their workplace.
