The Opportunity:
As a Occupational Health & Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for providing governance for all occupational health and hygiene activities associated with the systematic assessment and management of occupational health risks.
This role will be based primarily at St Marys or Orchard Hils, however regular site travel across the Western Sydney Airport Metro project is required.
Responsibilities
- Conducting health risk assessments
- Creating health management plans
- Significant experience and skills in the operation and execution of industry related equipment e.g., fibre, RCS, dust, welding fume, volatile organic compound and hazardous material sampling
- Conducting noise surveys and noise dosimetry
- Project management skills – planning, preparing and executing hygiene monitoring programs and writing/reviewing hygiene-related reports
- Experience in researching occupational hygiene issues and providing pragmatic solutions to our team.
- Planning, coordination and implementation of Occupational Health and Hygiene initiatives
- Maintaining a working relationship with the client in regards to Occupational Health and Hygiene
Criteria:
- A postgraduate qualification relevant to Occupational Hygiene or ICertOH (other qualifications in science or a related discipline is desirable)
- Recognised as a current Certified Occupational Hygienist by the AIOH (Mandatory)
Experience working on Sydney Metro projects (Desirable)
Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (Desirable) - Full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH)
- High flexibility with working arrangements – regular site travel across the Western Sydney Airport Metro contract is required.
- A willingness to mentor a team of WHS professionals, site-based teams and frontline supervisors
- Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
- Engagement and willing to contribute to a dynamic team
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong client relationship management skills
