Health and Wellbeing Manager

As Health and Wellbeing Manager, you have an amazing opportunity to help us grow our impact and deepen our connection with the communities we serve. - Maintain an effective Work Health & Safety (WHS) management system.
- Analyse incident and injury data to identify insights relating to root causes, emerging risks and issues
- Implement data driven injury management and workers’ compensation mitigation strategies
- Ensure financial liability associated with workers compensation is minimized by continuously improving processes, increasing operational efficiency and reducing workers compensation claims number and costs.
- Facilitate the use of and continuously improve, early intervention and rehabilitation processes to ensure achievement of business objectives and compliance with regulations.
- Lead the implementation of targeted injury management initiatives which meet better practice standards and facilitate a workers early and sustainable return to work following injury.
- Work closely with senior managers and business stakeholders; providing expert advice, management support and clear direction to facilitate achievement of specific workers’ compensation and post-injury management strategies.
- Lead a team in ensuring the implementation of a consistent and integrated approach to the management of injured workers and work/non work-related case management processes.
What you’ll bring
- Operational HSE experience in a similar work environment
- Working knowledge of workers compensation, rehabilitation and WHS
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills (e.g. consensus building, conflict resolution)
- Ability to provide solutions to sensitive and complex workplace issues.
- Ability to manage multiple problems at once and prioritise issues.
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks which govern Health & Wellbeing
- Experience in coaching and training managers and support staff in workers compensation, injury management and return to work.
